A new SFF (Small Form Factor) case from Raijintek, the Ophion Evo is perfect for Mini-ITX motherboards and has an extremely stylish look since it is made from aluminium. As well as that, the Ophion Evo features two tempered glass side panels and its aluminium construction means it is lightweight and easy to transport. Despite the Ophion Evo’s diminutive dimensions, there is still plenty of room for high-end components. A 240mm radiator can even be fitted to the roof. Nevertheless there’s room to install all the components you need for a powerful system. The Ophion Evo’s interior has been optimised for space since the GPU is placed parallel to the motherboard in a separate chamber. Every square centimeter inside the Raijintek Ophion Evo has been used sensibly. Making a gaming PC any smaller is scarcely possible! Small but massively powerful The the Ophion Evo’s design impresses thanks to its small size and an innovative aesthetic. It is made from an eye-catching white anodized aluminium, which is just 2mm thick. The case’s solid metallic surface is complemented by the two tempered glass side panels that are 3mm thick. Not only do these give the Raijintek Ophion Evo a striking appearance but also allow an unobstructed view of any components installed. Raijintek have deliberately kept features of the front panel minimalistic. The Ophion Evo has just a power button, featuring the Raijintek logo, and two USB ports (one USB 3.0 type A port and one type 3). The cooling design is similarly minimalistic, with air simply moving from bottom to top. On the base, an optional 120mm fan provides fresh air, which is conveyed to the outside by two further optional 120mm fans. The resulting airflow cools both chambers containing the motherboard and GPU. The back of the case and roof are made of solid aluminum and provided generous ventilation. If you want to integrate water cooling, the Ophion EVO even has enough space for a 240 mm radiator that can be attached to the cover instead of the two 120 mm fans. The tempered glass side panels attach to the case via knurled screws increasing grip. The panel is also stood off the case, thus also contributing to the air flow. Supports full length high-end Graphics Cards with Riser accessory Internally there is enough room to accommodate a Mini-ITX motherboard with a CPU cooler of a maximum height of 90mm. The motherboard’s PCI-Express-x16 slot can be redirected to the left of the case which makes fitting a GPU simple. Indeed a riser adapter enables up to a 330mm long and 55mm high GPU to be installed. There is also room for a standard size ATX power supply (max depth 160mm)to be installed. Power supply cables can be easily routed through the case. Naturally the more compact SFX or SFS power supplies can be fitted rather than an ATX one. Finally there is space for a 2.5-inch hard disk, that fits directly behind the front panel. Also if one of the two 120mm fans on the roof is removed, two additional 2.5-inch drives or a 3.5-inch drive can be installed.
