Arctic Alpine 12 LP Low-Profile CPU Cooler – 92mm

The CPU coolers from Arctic Cooling combine two aspects: they are extremely quiet and inexpensive. Especially for silent fans without overclocking ambitions, they are therefore extremely popular. But even as a quiet replacement of the often annoying loud boxed radiator, they are used numerous. Intel’s 1150, 1151, 1155 and 1156 pedestals are served by the Alpine 12 generation. The features of the Alpine 12 Low Profile by Arctic Cooling at a glance: – Tool-less installation without removal of the mainboard – PWM signal enables silent operation at low temperatures – Low weight of only 182 g – Extremely low height of just 42.2 millimeters – Suitable for Intel Socket 1150/1151/1155/1156 Compact low-profile cooler designed for 75 watts The Alpine 12 LP is not only small, but also a very reasonably priced model and specified for a maximum cooling power of a whopping 75 watts . The design immediately marks the Alpine 12 LP as a typical representative of Arctic Cooling. The upwardly projecting, Y-shaped, aluminum slats are covered by a 92 mm fan with black frame, which has no usual frame. This blows the cool air from above through the fins with white fan blades and thus also cools the surrounding components. The unusual suspension is an integral part of the Silent concept, as it minimizes the transmission of vibrations. But also the special bearing of the fan and its low speed ensure a low operating noise. Thanks to the PWM function, the fan can be controlled between very low 100 and 2,000 revolutions and thus automatically adapted to the heat development. The attachment is made with the help of push pins and is therefore possible quickly and easily. Thanks to the comparably low weight, there is no transport problem with this method. Thermal compound is also not needed because a layer of MX-2 thermal greasealready applied on the bottom. Unpack, touch down, press down, ready – it does not get any faster! With its low height of only 42.2 mm makes the Alpine 12 Low Profile its name and is ideal for small and flat housing. It saves space, is easy to assemble and allows full access to all components near the processor. The compact Top Blower cooler also provides cool areas around the CPU socket and is predestined for HTPC and Mini-ITX enclosures.
